Car Accident on Highway 166 Results in One Fatality

KERN COUNTY (July 2, 2021) – Police identified Francisco Luis Romero as the deceased victim in a deadly car crash on Highway 166.

According to the police, the incident happened around 2:34 p.m., on June 26. Dispatchers arrived on Highway 166, just a mile west of Goldberg Street.

Per reports, Romero lost control of his vehicle and overturned, crashing into a nearby orchard. Medical personnel arrived at the wreckage and pronounced the driver dead at the scene.

Shortly after, the coroner’s office identified the deceased patient as 24-year-old Francisco Luis Romero.

At this time, police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the solo-vehicle crash.
