Fatal Hit-And-Run Accident Kills Fullerton Dad
FULLERTON, CA (June 29, 2021) – Authorities are looking for the hit-and-run driver that claimed the life of Thomas Carrillo last Wednesday.
Officers responded to the incident around 10:20 p.m., in the 2100 block of Orangethorpe Avenue near State College Boulevard.
An investigation revealed that a vehicle struck the man while possibly skateboarding on the westbound lanes of Orangethorpe. Upon arrival, emergency crews discovered an unresponsive man on the road suffering from critical injuries.
Eventually, medical personnel transported the man to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Officials identified the deceased victim as 33-year-old Thomas Carrillo, of Fullerton.
Friends and family of Carrillo put up a GoFundMe page for cremation expenses.
In addition, the driver of the involved vehicle fled the scene and continued driving towards Orangethorpe. At this time, the Fullerton Authorities continue to search for the hit-and-run suspect.
Moreover, the police described the involved vehicle as a dark, 4-door sedan with front-end damage from the crash.
