Ricky Martinez Killed in Fiery Collision on Pacific Coast Highway [Huntington Beach, CA]

Fiery Collision on Pacific Coast Highway Ends with Fatality

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA (June 11, 2021) – 34-year-old Ricky Martinez died Wednesday morning after a fiery collision on Pacific Coast Highway in Huntington Beach.

The deadly crash took place on southbound Pacific Coast Highway near Huntington Street around 1:30 a.m., on June 9.

According to police, a 2003 white Infiniti FX45 was heading southbound on the highway when the driver crashed into a parked vehicle for unknown reasons.

As a result of the impact, one of the vehicles caught fire. In addition, officers on the scene discovered that the driver had been killed in the collision.

Authorities later identified the deceased victim as Ricky Martinez, 34, a Huntington Beach resident.

Meanwhile, the parked vehicle, was not occupied at the time of the accident.

The Pacific Coast Highway was closed for several hours for investigation and debris removal, as per officials. But, the roadway has since reopened to traffic.
