42-Year-Old Driver Pronounced Dead after Fatal Accident near Dillon Road.

WHITEWATER, CA (June 4, 2021) – 42-year-old Clinton Palmquist killed Monday night after a deadly head-on collision on Highway 62.

The collision occurred near Dillon Road, around 10:00 p.m. on May 31. Emergency crews arrived to the area shortly after.

According to authorities, a car traveling west in the eastbound lanes collided head-on with an oncoming vehicle. One of the vehicles was thrown into the right shoulder of Dillon Road as a result of the impact.

Clinton Palmquist, of Landers, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. It was not immediately clear which vehicle the deceased was driving.

In addition, one person was extricated from one of the vehicles and taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Furthermore, police reported that the highway was closed at Dillon and that traffic was diverted away from the crash. It reopened shortly after 1:00 a.m.
