One Dead in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Yosemite Avenue and Lake Road

MERCED, CA (May 25, 2021) – One man was killed Sunday night after a multi-vehicle crash on Yosemite Avenue and Lake Road.

The tragic incident took place in the area of Yosemite Avenue and Lake Road near UC Merced shortly before 8:00 pm.

According to CHP, three vehicles were involved in the crash. One occupant was not wearing a seat belt, and was later pronounced dead as a result.

At this time, the events that led up to the crash remain unknown.

Officials have not released the names of those involved, and it is unknown whether anyone else was injured.

Investigators are still conducting an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. Once available, more information will be released.
