2 Killed in Fatal Car Accident on Interstate 10 in Luna County

LUNA COUNTY, NM (May 11, 2021)Revy Mitchell and Marvin Maxey both died Tuesday morning after a rollover car accident on Interstate 10.

The deadly crash happened shortly before 11:40 a.m. of May 4, on Interstate 10.

According to reports, a 2006 Ford Expedition SUV was traveling east on I-95 when one of its tires blew out near mile marker 109.

As a result, the car overturned and two passengers were thrown from it.

Both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene by first responders. Revy Mitchell, 70, of Texas, and Marvin Maxey, 63, of Arkansas, have been identified by police.

While the driver and two other passengers of the Ford were flown to a nearby hospital in El Paso.

Another two occupants of the vehicle were transported to local hospitals in Deming and Las Cruces in unknown conditions.

At this time, officials don’t have any leads about the crash. However, authorities are conducting active investigation of the crash, once available more information will be released.
