Homeless Man Dies, Pedro Flores Arrested after Fatal Collision on San Vicente Boulevard

BRENTWOOD, CA (April 15, 2021) – 34-year-old Pedro Flores is now in custody after intentionally striking a man with his vehicle in Brentwood.

Early Sunday morning, officers responded to a hit-and-run at the 11600 block of San Vicente in Brentwood at a homeless encampment.

Upon arrival, the police discovered two men injured by Flores’ vehicle.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s office, Pedro Flores and another man got into an argument outside the Veterans Administration.

Afterwards, Pedro Flores proceeded to enter his vehicle and intentionally struck the 51-year-old victim he was arguing with. Flores then proceeded to drag his body for more than 200 yards and struck another homeless man in his 30’s.

First responders declared the 51-year-old victim dead at the scene. The man in his 30s sustained injuries but expected to survive.

Authorities located Flores a few blocks away from the scene and arrested him after a short pursuit.

The officials set the bail of Pedro Flores for 2 million dollars.
