Police Seeking Three Suspects after Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash
South Los Angeles, CA (February 24, 2021 ) – Wednesday, 33-year-old Ronal Villatoro was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run crash on Main Street.
Surveillance footage released by the Los Angeles Police Department shows a green pickup-truck running a red light in the Broadway-Manchester neighborhood prior to the incident.
Around noon, the driver was speeding west on East 88th. Shortly after, they ran another red light and struck a northbound vehicle on South Main Street. Upon impact, the truck then hit a pedestrian who was in a marked crosswalk on Main Street.
The victim was later identified as Ronal Villatoro. According to his brother Eddie Villatoro, Ronal was walking to the mechanic’s shop to pick up his truck at the time.
Three men were seen inside the truck before fleeing the scene without rendering aid to the severely injured victim. Authorities are offering a $50,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspects.
A GoFundMe website was created to help pay funeral costs for the victims.
