29-Year-Old Male Motorcyclist Fatally Struck in Collision on Long Beach Boulevard
LONG BEACH, CA (February 25, 2021) – Monday evening, a 22-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle accident on Del Amo and Long Beach Boulevard.
Long Beach Police responded to the crash around 7:00 p.m., on February 22nd.
According to reports, a 1997 Chevrolet S10 truck driven by a 29-year-old Long Beach man was heading east on Del Amo Boulevard. While making a left turn into a parking lot, the driver struck a 2017 Honda motorcycle, driven by a 22-year-old Compton man.
Due to the impact of the crash, the motorcyclist suffered critical injuries. He was later transported to a nearby hospital where he died due to the extent of his condition.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck remained on scene and cooperated with authorities. The surrounding area was closed for a brief time during preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since reopened.
The identities of those involved remains unknown. An active investigation to determine further details is still ongoing.
