1 Dead in Albuquerque Pedestrian Collision near 4th Street
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (January 14, 2021) — Monday night, a fatal pedestrian collision near Griegos Road and 4th Street occurred.
Information released by the Albuquerque Police Department indicated that the incident happened just south of Palo Duro.
Local authorities responded to the scene of the crash around 8:39 p.m. Medical responders administered life-saving measures. However, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The name of the victim was not immediately available. In addition, there was no information about the vehicle or the driver. It was also not immediately clear whether the driver stopped and remained at the scene.
Meanwhile, 4th Street north of Griegos Road and south of Palo Duro remained closed as police investigated the scene. The area has since reopened.
At this time, officials have not released additional information. However, an investigation is ongoing.
