Fatal Crash on Kumeyaay Highway in El Cajon

 
EL CAJON, CA (January 9, 2021) – At least one person was killed following a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon in El Cajon.
 
The crash happened around 4:33 p.m. on Kumeyaay Highway at the Greenfield Drive off-ramp.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a cable television truck collided with a small sedan on the off-ramp for unknown reasons.
 
Officers responded to the scene and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the collision. They did not release the victim’s identity pending next of kin notification.
 
The off-ramp was shut down for the investigation. It reopened just after 10:30 p.m., CHP said.
