Motorcyclist Dies after Crash with SUV on Torrey Pines Road in La Jolla
LA JOLLA, CA (January 7, 2021) – The coroner’s office identified the man who died in a motorcycle crash Thursday last week in La Jolla.
The crash happened around 1:15 p.m., January 7, in the 3200 block of Torrey Pines Road.
Charles Dale Porter, 19, of San Diego was riding a motorcycle northbound on Torrey Pines Road when he lost control and slammed into the center divider.
The impact threw Porter into the southbound side, where he was hit by a 2014 Acura SUV.
Porter died at the scene.
CHP officails are still investigating the incident to determine the factors involved.
