Ascencion Morales Dead in Pedestrian Accident on on East Golf Links Road in Tucson
TUCSON, AZ (November 21, 2020) – Authorities identified 51-year-old Ascencion Morales as the pedestrian killed in an accident on East Golf Links Road, Saturday evening.
According to the Tucson Police Department, the incident happened at about 6:00 PM. Morales attempted to cross outside of a marked crosswalk. Then, a westbound 2005 Toyota Corolla hit him near South Kold Road.
Emergency crews pronounced Morales dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota remained and cooperated with investigators.
Tucson police ruled out impairment and speed as factors in the fatal accident. As per reports, no citations or charges have been issued.
Officials will release additional information once it becomes available.
