37-Year-Old Man Struck by Train on South Royal Brougham Way in Seattle
SEATTLE, WA (November 11, 2020) – A 37-year-old man sustained injuries after he was struck by a Link light rail train on South Royal Brougham Way, Wednesday evening.
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at about 5:30 PM. For reasons still under investigation, the train hit the man near the 500 block of South Royal Brougham Way.
Emergency responders removed the trapped man from the tracks and transported him to Harborview Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. Recent updates confirmed that the man remains in serious condition.
The incident temporarily interrupted the rail service.
Deputies continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
