Hit-and-Run Suspect Hospitalized after Pedestrian Accident on Desert Inn Road
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 16, 2020) – A hit-and-run suspect sustained injuries in a pedestrian accident on Desert Inn Road, Monday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened at about 8:45 AM. Officers spotted a vehicle that was reportedly involved in a hit-and-run at Valley View Boulevard and Spring Mountain Road.
They stopped the vehicle and attempted to handcuff the suspect. However, he managed to escape from the authorities. Then, the suspect ran into traffic, where a westbound vehicle hit him.
Emergency crews then transported the man to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Officers temporarily closed Desert Inn Road for an investigation.
LVMPD will release additional information once it becomes available.
