DUI Suspected in Rear-End Crash on Highway 85 in Buckeye
BUCKEYE, AZ (November 16, 2020) – Two people sustained injuries in a rear-end crash on Highway 85 near 10 Freeway, Monday evening.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident happened at about 6:00 PM. DPS troopers were conducting traffic control when a blue Ford F-150 slammed into the rear of one of the trooper’s patrol vehicles.
As per reports, the patrol vehicle was stopped in the median with its emergency lights on.
Emergency crews rushed both trooper and pickup truck driver to local hospitals with serious injuries. Authorities expect both of them to recover soon.
DPS believe that impairment played a role in the collision. Officials will release additional information once it becomes available.
