Man Dead after Pedestrian Crash on Highway 101 near Madonna Road
SAN LUIS OBISPO, CA (October 16, 2020) — A man suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian crash on Highway 101 in San Luis Obispo on Thursday, October 15.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident happened around 4:40 a.m. in the southbound lanes of the highway near Madonna Road.
Officers said that a 55-year-old man from Los Osos run across the highway from the center divider. Then he ran in front of the path of the vehicle traveling at about 65-70 mph.
The man died from his injuries sustained from the collision. Authorities did not release his identity.
The driver, described only as a 49-year-old woman from San Luis Obispo, was not arrested.
