Heidi Huff Killed, Another Injured after Head-On Crash near 43rd Avenue and Cactus Road
PHOENIX, AZ (October 16, 2020) — A driver identified as 48-year-old Heidi Huff died in a head-on crash in Phoenix on Thursday, October 15.
According to officials, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 12:30 a.m. near 43rd Avenue and Cactus Road.
Investigators found out that a silver Ford Focus moved northbound on 43rd Avenue. Then it crossed over the center line and into opposing lanes of traffic resulting in a head-on crash with a southbound car.
Paramedics rushed the driver of the Focus, Heidi Huff, to a hospital where she died.
The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 21-year-old, suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities have not yet determined if speed or impairment contributed to the crash.
The investigation is still underway.
