Matthew Norried Fatally Struck by Pickup Truck on McKee Road near North Capitol Avenue
SAN JOSE, CA (September 27, 2020) – A man who died in a pedestrian crash early Sunday morning in San Jose has been identified.
The crash happened around 12:15 a.m. on McKee Road near North Capitol Avenue.
Police said Matthew Norried, 37, of Fresno was walking outside of a crosswalk when a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado struck him.
Arriving units pronounced Norried dead at the scene.
The involved driver remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
It is unknown if alcohol and drugs played a role in the crash. CHP officials are still investigating the incident.
