High-Speed Crash on Alum Rock Avenue near Alexander Avenue Kills Two
SAN JOSE, CA (September 27, 2020) – Authorities identified the two people who died in a high-speed crash Sunday morning in San Jose.
The crash happened around 8:15 a.m. on Alum Rock Avenue near Alexander Avenue.
Police said a white 2007 work van was traveling at a high rate of speed when it ran the red light at the intersection. It then struck a 2002 Nissan Maxima, killing the two people inside.
Galdino Limon Agredano, 43, died at the scene. His passenger, Maria Lordes Garcia Jauregui, 52, also succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital. Both were residents of San Jose.
The driver of the van was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and reckless driving.
