Two-Car Crash on Mission Boulevard in Jurupa Valley Kills 2, Badly Injures 2 Others
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (September 25, 2020) – Two women died following a two-car crash Friday night in Jurupa Valley.
The crash happened around 6:10 p.m. at the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Pedley Road.
According to sheriff’s deputies, two vehicles collided for unknown reasons. The impact caused one of them to burst into flames.
One vehicle was carrying three women, one of them died at the scene. The other two were taken to Riverside Community Hospital, where one also succumbed to her injuries.
The Riverside County coroner’s office did not release the identities of the two deceased women pending notification of their families.
The third woman, who was the driver, was expected to survive despite suffering major injuries, authorities said.
The driver of the other vehicle, an unnamed man, was also taken to a hospital with major injuries but is expected to survive.
Authorities are still investigating the crash and have not yet determined whether drugs or alcohol played a role.
