1 Airlifted after Two-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 in Los Alamos
LOS ALAMOS, CA (September 22, 2020) – Five people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 101, Tuesday afternoon.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened shortly after noon. Due to unknown circumstances, a southbound vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic. After that, the vehicle collided with another vehicle at Cat Canyon Road.
A medical helicopter transported one person to Santa Barbara Cottage with critical injuries. Two people with moderate injuries were taken to Santa Maria Marian, while two others with minor injuries were transported to Santa Ynez Cottage.
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
