FONTANA, CA (September 20, 2020) – A motorcyclist sustained injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Citrus Avenue, early Sunday evening.
According to the Fontana Police Department, the incident happened at about 5:57 PM. A Harley Davidson motorcycle was stopped in the northbound lanes of Citrus Avenue for a red light at Curtis Avenue.
Then, a dark grey Lexus slammed into the rear of the stopped motorcycle before fleeing the scene. A witness tried to follow the vehicle, but the suspect drove recklessly and ran several stop signs.
Emergency crews rushed the 59-year-old motorcyclist to a hospital with unspecified injuries.
Officers said that the hit-and-run vehicle was a Lexus IS 250 2005-2010 with front-end damage to the right side fog lamp area. Anyone with additional information should call the Fontana police as soon as possible.
