Pedestrian Seriously Hurt in Accident on Kettner Boulevard [San Diego, CA]
44-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash on Kettner Boulevard
SAN DIEGO, CA (September 21, 2020) – A 44-year-old woman sustained serious injuries in a pedestrian accident on Kettner Boulevard, early Monday morning.
According to the San Diego Police Department, the incident happened at about 1:15 AM. A pedestrian was walking northbound on Kettner Boulevard in the east crosswalk. Then, a westbound Toyota Camry entered the intersection on a green light and hit the pedestrian near West Broadway.
Emergency crews later transported the pedestrian to a hospital for treatment of a pelvic fracture and a wrist fracture. However, authorities did not release the identity of the woman.
Meanwhile, the 25-year-old driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
San Diego police continue to investigate the cause of the crash. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
