Rider Killed in Motorcycle Accident on 10 Freeway [Los Angeles, CA]
One Fatally Injured in Motorcycle Accident on 10 Freeway and 110 Freeway
LOS ANGELES, CA (September 15, 2020) — One person suffered fatal injuries in a motorcycle accident on 10 Freeway at around 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13.
According to California Highway Patrol Officer Peter Nicholson, the crash took place on the transition road from westbound Santa Monica (10) Freeway and the Harbor (110) Freeway in Westlake. The impact ejected the rider from the motorcycle.
Paramedics rushed the rider to California Hospital Medical Center. Medical personnel later pronounced the victim dead, Nicholson said.
Authorities withheld the identity of the deceased pending notification of next of kin. There was no description of the person’s gender or age.
CHP declared a SigAlert at 6:26 p.m. However, the transition road reopened around 7:30 p.m., Nicholson said.
