EXPOSITION PARK, CA (August 5, 2020) – A woman sustained serious injuries in a hit-and-run crash on Western Avenue, early Wednesday morning.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, the incident happened at about 2:47 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, a vehicle hit a female pedestrian near the intersection of Western Avenue and 38th Place.
Firefighters rushed the pedestrian to an area hospital with serious injuries. As per reports, the woman remains in critical condition.
However, the driver of the vehicle did not stop to render aid and immediately fled the area.
Officers continue to investigate the crash. Authorities will release additional information to the public once it becomes available.
