Hit-and-Run Crash on York Boulevard in Eagle Rock Sends Pedestrian to Hospital
EAGLE ROCK, CA (August 3, 2020) – A 65-year-old man was hospitalized in a hit-and-run crash Monday evening in Eagle Rock.
The crash happened around 10:00 p.m. on York Boulevard at Munson Avenue.
Police said the man was crossing in an unmarked crosswalk on York Boulevard when a westbound motorcycle hit him.
Witnesses came to render aid to the victim. While the man was lying in the street, another vehicle struck him.
Paramedics arrived and rushed the man to a local hospital. The victim, only identified as a Los Angeles resident, is now in stable condition.
Both the rider and the driver that struck the victim fled the scene.
Authorities are still searching for the hit-and-run drivers. They encouraged anyone with information about the suspects to contact Detective Juan Campos at 213-833-3713.
