2-Year-Old Boy Dies in Pedestrian Crash on Buhman Avenue in Napa
NAPA, CA (August 6, 2020) – A 2-year-old boy died in a pedestrian crash Thursday afternoon in Napa, according to police.
The crash happened around 2:57 p.m. at 1001 Buhman Avenue near Browns Valley Elementary School.
Investigators said the child had been visiting the Buhman Park along with his mother. He suddenly went into the roadway when a northbound car struck him.
First responders performed life-saving measures on the boy, before rushing him to Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Sadly, the child did not survive and was pronounced dead.
The Napa County Sheriff-Coroner’s Office identified the victim Friday as Maximilian Alamanza.
The involved driver stayed on scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Police said alcohol, drugs or speed were not suspected factors in the crash. They asked anyone who witnessed the incident to contact Officer Mike Fullmore at 707-257-7880.
