Marty Mannani Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash on Marguerite Parkway

 
MISSION VIEJO, CA (July 28, 2020) — A 64-year-old pedestrian identified as Marty Mannani died after an SUV struck him in Mission Viejo on Sunday, July 26.
 
The accident took place on Marguerite Parkway around 7:35 a.m., the coroner’s office reported.
 
The coroner reported that Mannani died on the street 12 minutes later.
 
It was unclear if Mannani was in a crosswalk when a vehicle hit him as he tried to cross Marguerite Parkway near Alerzal.
 
A report said that the driver was not intoxicated. He remained on the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
 
Officials said the investigation about the incident is still underway by the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.
