PHOENIX, AZ (July 27, 2020) — A man suffered fatal injuries in a pedestrian accident at 19th Avenue and Glendale Avenue early Sunday morning.
 
The Phoenix police said they learned of the accident at about 4:30 a.m. Officers immediately rushed to the scene and found an adult male with serious injuries.
 
A medical team subsequently transported the man to a nearby medical facility. Unfortunately, he later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
 
Based on an initial investigation, a northbound vehicle on 19th Avenue hit the pedestrian. The man reportedly stepped out into the roadway and then was struck.
 
Meantime, no updates were available at this time about the driver of the vehicle. The authorities also have not made the pedestrian’s name public.
 
According to the police, speed and impairment did not play a role in the fatal crash. However, the incident remains under investigation.
