Cyclist Dead after Being Struck by Car near Northeast 171st Street and 143rd Place Northeast

 
WOODINVILLE, WA (July 27, 2020) – A car struck and killed a bicyclist near Northeast 171st Street, Monday morning.
 
According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened at about 10:00 AM. Due to unknown circumstances, a car hit a bicycle near Northeast 171st Street and 143rd Place Northeast.
 
Emergency responders pronounced the cyclist dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
No other information was immediately available about the driver.
 
Deputies continue to investigate the cause of the fatal crash. Detectives ask witnesses to reach out and cooperate as soon as possible. Authorities will release more details once they become available.
