Toddler Dies after Struck by Vehicle on Lakeview Avenue near Nuevo Road
NUEVO, CA (July 24, 2020) – A toddler died in a pedestrian crash Friday evening in the unincorporated Nuevo area, authorities said.
The crash happened around 8:30 p.m. at 28138 Lakeview Avenue near Nuevo Road.
CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but the toddler was pronounced dead at the scene about 45 minutes later.
The Riverside County coroner’s office identified the victim as Samuel Rodriguez, 2, of Nuevo.
CHP officials said there were no arrests at this time.
The fatal incident remains under investigation.
