Ricky Manley Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on Railroad Avenue [PITTSBURG, CA]

Two-Vehicle Crash on Railroad Avenue in Pittsburg Kills 1 and Leaves Another in Critical Condition

 
PITTSBURG, CA (July 21, 2020) – Authorities identified the man who died in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday last week as Ricky Manley, 32, of Porterville.
 
The crash happened around 9:20 a.m. on July 21, at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Buchanan Road.
 
Police said a vehicle was traveling north on Railroad Avenue when it struck Manley’s vehicle that was heading east on Buchanan Road.
 
Arriving units pronounced Manley dead at the scene.
 
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries, but a passenger suffered life-threatening injuries. That person remained in critical but stable condition at a hospital Wednesday morning.
 
Crews closed the roadway near the area for several hours while they cleared the scene.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
