62-Year-Old Mark Edwards Killed in Sacramento County Motorcycle Crash

 
SACRAMENTO COUNTY, CA (July 24, 2020) – Authorities identified 62-year-old Mark Edwards of Isleton as the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Highway 12, Friday afternoon.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 1:42 PM. Due to unknown reasons, a westbound motorcycle slowly weaved into the eastbound lane. There, the motorcyclist collided head-on with a tractor-trailer near Brannan Island Road.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the motorcyclist, Edwards, dead at the scene.
 
Details about the driver of the tractor-trailer remain undisclosed.
 
CHP ruled out drugs and alcohol as factors in the fatal crash. Investigators ask witnesses to reach out and cooperate as soon as possible. Authorities will release additional information once it becomes available.
