Calvin Everhart Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 395 [RIDGECREST, CA]

Driver Dies after Crash with Big Rig on Highway 395 in Ridgecrest

 
RIDGECREST, CA (July 23, 2020) – A man who died in a head-on crash early Thursday morning in Ridgecrest has been identified by authorities.
 
The crash happened around 2:10 a.m. on Highway 395, just south of China Lake Boulevard.
 
CHP officials said Calvin Everhart, 53, was driving a truck when he collided head-on with a big rig. The impact caused him fatal injuries. Paramedics pronounced him dead at the scene.
 
The big rig’s driver suffered major injuries and was taken to Kern Medical Center.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.
 
Authorities are still investigating the incident. They asked anyone with information to call the CHP Mojave area office at 661-823-5500.
