One Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 4 at Bailey Road [BAY POINT, CA]

Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Highway 4 in Bay Point

 
BAY POINT, CA (July 24, 2020) – One person died following a motorcycle crash Friday afternoon in Bay Point, according to the California Highway Patrol.
 
The crash happened around 1:42 p.m. on Highway 4, just west of Bailey Road.
 
CHP officials said the motorcycle was heading westbound on the highway. For unknown reasons, it traveled into the center median, where it lost control and hit a wall.
 
The impact ejected the rider onto the ground.
 
Responding paramedics pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
 
Coroner’s officials did not release the identity of the deceased pending family notification.
 
The crash closed down the far three left lanes but the CHP did not issue a Sig-alert for severe traffic.
 
CHP officials asked anyone who witnessed the crash or the events leading to it to contact them at 925-646-4980.
