Motorcyclist Killed in Head-On Crash on Highway 12 near Brannan Island Road [ISLETON, CA]

Fatal Head-On Crash Between Motorcycle and Tractor-Trailer on Highway 12 in Isleton

 
ISLETON, CA (July 24, 2020) – A motorcyclist died in a head-on crash with a tractor-trailer Friday afternoon in Sacramento County, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 1:42 p.m. on Highway 12 near Brannan Island Road.
 
According the California Highway Patrol, a 63-year-old Isleton man was riding his motorcycle westbound when he slowly weaved into the eastbound lanes and crashed head-on into the trailer.
 
As a result, the motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. His name was not immediately available.
 
The condition of the tractor-trailer driver is unknown.
 
CHP officials believed the motorcyclist did not use his brakes before the crash.
 
There was no evidence that DUI was a factor in the crash. An investigation is still ongoing to determine the exact cause and liability.
