Authorities Identifies Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Stockdale Highway at Don Hart Drive

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 22, 2020) – A woman who died in a hit-and-run crash Wednesday afternoon in Bakersfield has been identified by authorities.
 
The crash happened around 1:09 p.m. on Stockdale Highway at Don Hart Drive.
 
Police said Deborah Ann Geneau, 65, was one of the drivers involved in a three-vehicle crash. One of the vehicles landed on top of another.
 
First responders pronounced Geneau dead at the scene.
 
One of the drivers fled the scene and police are still looking for the suspect.
 
On the GoFundMe page, Geneau’s family says she left home for a quick trip to a bank.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved, and the area was closed to traffic until 7:00 p.m.
 
Police are still investigating the crash. They asked anyone with further information to call the department at 661-327-7111.
