Stephanie O’Hanlon Dies After Hit by 3 Vehicles in Tucson

 
TUCSON, AZ (July 24, 2020) – The Tucson police identified 29-year-old Stephanie O’Hanlon as the woman fatally ran over by three vehicles in Tucson early Thursday.
 
A Subaru, a utility-style work truck, and a gray Volkswagen were involved in the incident. As a result, officers responded to the scene at about 3:45 a.m.
 
A preliminary investigation revealed that the Subaru was traveling behind a dark SUV or utility-style work truck. A gray Volkswagen, meantime, was behind the Subaru.
 
As the three vehicles approached the intersection at Craycroft Road, the Subaru driver said that an unknown object came out from underneath the dark SUV. The Subaru and the Volkswagen were unable to avoid the object, later identified as O’Hanlon, and subsequently hit him.
 
Officials declared O’Hanlon dead at the scene.
 
The respective drivers of the Subaru and the Volkswagen stopped west of the intersection after the collision.
 
Meanwhile, the dark SUV or utility-style work truck did not stop after the crash and continued west on Golf Links Road.
 
According to the detectives, O’Hanlon displayed abnormal behavior before the fatal accident. Witnesses said she was running into traffic and yelling at vehicles. In addition, there was also an indication that O’Hanlon was lying down in the roadway when the first vehicle struck her.
 
The police are still searching for the dark SUV or utility-style work truck and its driver. However, their investigation is ongoing. If anyone has information, please call 911.
