Los Angeles Man Fatally Hit by Vehicle on Las Vegas Boulevard

 
LAS VEGAS, NV (July 23, 2020) – A 22-year-old man died in a pedestrian accident on Las Vegas Boulevard early Wednesday morning.
 
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police reported that the accident happened at 8000 Las Vegas Boulevard near Wigwam Avenue.
 
Based on a preliminary investigation, the man was from Los Angeles and was visiting a friend.
 
At about 2:30 a.m., the man and his friend got into an argument. He then decided to run into the street where was hit by a vehicle, causing him fatal injuries.
 
The officers said the vehicle was a white Lexus. It was northbound on Las Vegas Boulevard when it hit the pedestrian.
 
The Los Angeles man died at the scene. At this time, the LVMPD is investigating whether he intentionally walked into the roadway.
 
Officials had Las Vegas Boulevard closed between Windmill and Pebble during the cleanup and emergency response. The roadway has since reopened.
