Ellis Scrivens Arrested After Fleeing Scene of Pedestrian Crash in Carson

CARSON, WA (July 23, 2020) – A 57-year-old woman was hospitalized after a car hit her in the 1400 block of Wind River Road Sunday night.

According to the Skamania County Sheriff’s deputies, they responded to the incident at about 8:12 p.m.

Reports indicated that the woman was walking on the shoulder of Wind River Highway with a 12-year-old family friend when she was hit by a silver or dark-colored sedan.

The woman suffered critical injuries to her head, arm and torso. Paramedics took her to an area hospital for treatment. The 12-year-old was not hurt.

Meantime, the driver of the car did not stop and render aid. She continued driving northbound, witnesses said.

The deputies later located the driver, identified as 27-year-old Ellis Scrivens. They took her into custody on Monday and subsequently booked her into the Skamania County Jail on a charge of felony hit-and-run. They also found the 1986 Honda Accord she was driving at her home and impounded the vehicle.
