1 Dead, 1 Hurt in Port Angeles Motorcycle Crash
PORT ANGELES, WA (July 24, 2020) – 63-year-old Sharron Currie died while her husband, 64-year-old Michael Currie suffered injuries in a motorcycle accident in Port Angeles.
The Curries’ bike collided with a pickup truck in the 400 block of O’Brien Road at about 3:20 p.m. When first responders arrived at the scene, they found both husband and wife lying on the pavement.
Initial findings showed that a 34-year-old Sequim woman was driving the truck. She turned left in front of the Curries’ motorcycle, causing the vehicles to collided into each other.
According to a witness, the truck and the bike did not appear to be speeding at the time of the collision.
Sharron Currie died at the scene. Emergency crews airlifted Michael Currie to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle due to severe injuries.
Meanwhile, the truck driver stayed at the scene. No updates were available regarding her condition.
