Wesley Wentler Killed in DUI Bicycle Crash on Santa Fe Street [VISALIA, CA]

Joreill Cabral Arrested for DUI after Fatal Bicycle Crash in Visalia

 
VISALIA, CA (July 16, 2020) – A man who died in a DUI bicycle crash Thursday last week in southeast Visalia has been identified by authorities.
 
The crash happened around 6:20 p.m. on Santa Fe Street, also known as Road 128, at K Road.
 
Wesley Wentler, 63, was riding on his bicycle along Santa Fe Street when a GMC Yukon struck him near the intersection with K Road.
 
Wentler suffered critical injuries after the crash. Responding paramedics rushed him to Kaweah Delta Medical Center, where he died while undergoing treatment.
 
The driver of the GMC, 28-year-old Joreill Cabral, was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.
 
At this time, the crash remains under investigation.
