Nifo Ufau Arrested after Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (July 22, 2020) — Officials arrested 21-year-old Nifo Ufau after a hit-and-run crash that killed a 50-year-old man on Sunday, July 19.
According to the police, the collision happened around noon in the area of Bayshore Boulevard and Jerrold Street. A vehicle struck the man and drove away from the scene.
Police later discovered the vehicle on the 100 block of Barneveld Avenue. While investigators were at the scene, the suspected driver turned himself in at Bayview Station.
Officials arrested Ufau on suspicion of felony hit and run, vehicular manslaughter and speeding, police said.
The identity of the man who died was not immediately released from the Medical Examiner’s Office.
The investigation about the incident is still underway.
