David Beckwith Killed in Motorcycle Crash on Amargosa Road [HESPERIA, CA]

Rider Dies after Struck by SUV on Amargosa Road near Key Pointe Avenue

 
HESPERIA, CA (July 19, 2020) – A motorcyclist was killed in a crash Sunday afternoon in Hesperia, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 12:08 p.m. on Amargosa Road near Key Pointe Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a red and white street bike was traveling on Amargosa Road when it was struck by a white Ford Flex.
 
The impact left the rider with critical injuries. Paramedics transported him to Desert Valley Hospital, where he later died.
 
Coroner’s officials identified the victim as David Beckwith, 38, of Crestline.
 
The driver of the SUV remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
CHP officials did not rule out drugs or alcohol as a factor in the crash. They encouraged anyone with further information to call the Hesperia sheriff’s station at 760-947-1500.
