Fatal Bus Stop Crash at 35th Avenue and Dunlap Avenue in Phoenix

 
PHOENIX, AZ (July 22, 2020) – The authorities have identified 66-year-old Antoinette Dorego as one of the two people killed in a car crash in Phoenix.
 
The crash occurred Tuesday afternoon at a bus stop at the intersection of 35th Avenue and Dunlap Avenue.
 
Based on a preliminary investigation from Dunlap Avenue, a car traveled southbound on 35th Avenue. The driver then saw another vehicle pulling out of a private driveway and tried to avoid a collision. However, the driver lost control and then smashed into the bus stop.
 
An 80-year-old man died at the scene. He has not been identified by the authorities.
 
Dorego was taken to a hospital in critical condition. However, the police later said that she also succumbed to her injuries.
 
Paramedics also transported another man to the hospital with minor injuries.
 
Meantime, the driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. The police have also located the vehicle pulling out onto 35th Avenue, which will also be a part of the investigation. The driver of the said vehicle did not report any injuries.
 
The officers said impairment was not a factor in the car accident. They are conducting further investigation.
