Pablo Barrios Killed in Head-On Crash on 90th Street East [PALMDALE, CA]

Lourdes Santos, Sophia Barrios and Jaime Gonzalez Badly Injured in Fatal Head-On Crash in Palmdale

 
PALMDALE, CA (July 17, 2020) – A man was killed in a head-on crash Friday evening in Palmdale, CHP officials said.
 
The crash happened around 9:25 p.m. on 90th Street East, just south of Avenue Q.
 
Jaime Gonzalez, 20, of Lancaster, was driving southbound on 90th Street at an undetermined speed. As he approached a vehicle going northbound, he veered into the northbound lane and slammed head-on into the vehicle.
 
As a result, the driver of the northbound vehicle suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. Authorities later identified him as Pablo Barrios, 26, of Los Angeles.
 
Two passengers in Barrios’ vehicle, Lourdes Santos, 26, and Sophia Barrios, 4, both of Los Angeles, were seriously injured.
 
Gonzalez also suffered major injuries.
 
Paramedics took all the injured patients to a local hospital for proper treatment.
 
An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
