One Killed in Rollover Crash on Highway 101 near Telephone Road [VENTURA, CA]

Fatal Early Morning Rollover Crash on Highway 101 in Ventura

 
VENTURA, CA (July 18, 2020) – At least one person was killed following a rollover crash early Saturday evening in Ventura.
 
The crash happened just after 2:00 a.m. on northbound Highway 101 near the juncture of Telephone Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Ford Mustang had apparently gone over the side of the roadway and landed on its roof.
 
Firefighters immediately responded and confirmed at least one fatality as a result of the accident. The identity of the victim has not yet been released.
 
Crews closed the northbound highway and a portion of Telephone Road until around 5:20 a.m. as they investigated the crash.
 
It is unknown if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash. The full circumstances of the accident remain under investigation.
