Josue Soto Dead after Phoenix Hit-and-Run Accident

 
PHOENIX, AZ (July 21, 2020) — A 30-year-old pedestrian identified as Josue Soto died in a hit-and-run crash at 9:59 p.m. on Saturday, July 18.
 
The crash involved a white 2007 to 2010 Saturn Outlook SUV that moved east on Van Buren Street and 33rd Avenue.
 
Sgt. Tommy Thompson said a vehicle hit Soto while crossing in a marked crosswalk at the intersection with no signal lights.
 
Paramedics rushed Soto to an area hospital in critical condition but were later pronounced dead.
 
After the crash, the vehicle did not stop and continued eastbound. Authorities are still searching for the involved driver.
