Rider Gilbert Rodriguez II Dies after Bakersfield Car Crash
BAKERSFIELD, CA (July 14, 2020) – A man who died in a motorcycle crash Tuesday night in Bakersfield has been identified as 22-year-old Gilbert Rodriguez II.
The crash happened around 6:27 p.m. at the intersection of South H Street and Hendricks Lane.
Police said Rodriguez II was riding his motorcycle when he collided with another vehicle. The impact caused him major injuries.
Emergency crews transported Rodriguez II to Kern Medical Center, where he died at 7:22 p.m.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with the police.
Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to be a factor in the crash.
